Our online tutoring sessions are conducted using Google Meet. For these sessions, students will need a device with internet access, such as a computer or tablet, and a functioning microphone and camera for interactive communication. It's also important for students to have a Google account. Creating a Google account is a straightforward and safe process, and it allows students to access Google Meet and facilitates the sharing of educational resources and documents between the tutor and student. We ensure that our online platform is secure and user-friendly, providing an environment that is conducive to an engaging and interactive learning experience. All sessions are live, enabling real-time interaction and personalised support tailored to each student's unique educational needs.
-
We monitor students' progress throughout the term. At the end of each term, tutors provide parents with a detailed progress update and feedback, ensuring transparent communication about the student's learning journey.
-
The initial consultation includes assessing the student's needs, discussing learning goals, and outlining how our tutoring can support these objectives. This is a crucial step in customising our service to each student's requirements.
-
Students need a computer or tablet with internet access to use Google Meet for their online tutoring sessions. This platform is user-friendly and widely accessible, making it an ideal choice for online learning.
-
Homework and additional practise are tailored to support what students are learning in school, without overwhelming them. Our tutors use their expertise to determine if and when extra work is appropriate, often providing assistance with school homework.
-
If a client cannot attend a scheduled lesson, we make every effort to reschedule. However, if rescheduling isn’t possible, no refund is offered. If a tutor must cancel, we try to reschedule, or else clients receive a refund for that week at the end of the term.
-
Parents can communicate with tutors via email. This ensures a consistent and formal channel of communication, keeping parents informed about their child's progress and any relevant updates.

At InstructED, we pride ourselves on providing personalised, expert tutoring tailored to each student's unique needs. Unlike other services that might hire university students or individuals without a background in education, all our tutors are either qualified teachers or pre-service teachers. They are experts in their subjects, deeply familiar with the Australian curriculum, and experienced in creating individualised learning plans.
Our pricing is calculated on a weekly basis rather than per hour to reflect the comprehensive and tailored service we provide. This includes not only the one-on-one hour-long online session but also the significant time our tutors invest in preparing for each session. This preparation might involve creating customised resources, reading texts, planning lessons, and marking student work. We believe this approach ensures a higher quality of education, directly aligned with the specific learning objectives and academic needs of each student.
We understand that education is a significant investment, and we are committed to delivering exceptional value through our personalised, expert-driven approach. Our goal is to ensure that every student in Melbourne receives the best possible support in their educational journey, making our service a worthwhile investment for their future.

Re-enrolling your child for additional terms is a straightforward process designed to ensure continuity and secure your preferred time slots. Two weeks before the end of each school term, you will receive an email reminder from us, prompting you to re-enrol. It's important to pay attention to these reminders, as we operate on strict deadlines to guarantee availability and retain your existing time slots.
To re-enrol, simply follow the instructions provided in the email reminder. We recommend completing this process as soon as you receive the reminder to avoid any inconvenience.
Remember, adhering to our re-enrolment deadlines is crucial. This not only helps in planning and organising classes effectively but also ensures that your child continues their learning journey without interruption.
